Chetana - Conscience of Women in Delhi

Chetana- Conscience of women of Delhi is a voluntary organization serving society in general, with special focus on women. Modern day women need some solace through the hectic activity of life, educating the kids, earning for the family, welfare of the family, responsibilities of the relatives and friends, go shopping for the family, participating in social activities, and what not. The multiple multidimensional multifaceted multi-tasking role can be summed up in some image like a modern day "Durga", the Hindu goddess with eight hands performing everything that is necessary for the welfare of whole creation. 

Chetana is trying to emerge as a destination for the women- a venue where women can freely stroll in, chat with the activists who understand the pain & pleasantry of the visitor, share the pain, console the heart, build self confidence, make one understand the life as it unfolds, and make the visitor feel that her or his life is much more meaningful than one thinks.

Bringing cheer to broken hearts or people in depression is a humongous task and the Chetana Team has resolved to accept the task as a challenge, drawing essence from Bharatiya tradition and inspired by the mother organization Bharatiya Stree Shakti, an all India organization with many branches across the country, Chetana has embarked on the extensive path with clear mind and perspicuity  of ideas.

Family is the most precious unit of human society, it is said, and history elaborates that Bharatiya society could preserve this precious component through the most exigent historical challenges. The modern world though is presented as a village, the voids and the distances in human relationships have drifted seas apart, as the relationships turned more mechanical, more  material and less and less human, sans spiritual. Reasons for families falling apart can be numerous but this also denotes the growing reticence and shrinking human understanding.

Chetana has passionately taken upon itself the act of spreading the message love & affection among all the citizens through understanding the minds and hearts.

Chetana invites volunteers, more so women volunteers who can devote their daily, weekly or monthly time for the welfare of the society in the city of Delhi. Team Chetana is voluntary and enjoys the tasks by working selflessly, promoting volunteers to serve society without expectation of name, fame, or any monetary benefit.

Volunteers are welcome, women volunteers are more welcome.
